When you make it, is it as good as your mom's?

My grandmother used to make this pie occasionally at our regular Sunday night suppers. She would top it with some strawberries that were heated on the stove until they became saucy. My grandfather would also put one big scoop of sour cream on it and then shovel another big scoop of sour cream directly in his mouth, some of which would land on his tie (he always wore a shirt and tie).

Now, my mother makes it for me because she knows it's my favourite and she serves it proudly with a big smile knowing she is making me happy.

When I make it it tastes the same but it's not!

I think you and your mom are both very lucky.
